South cinema is growing rapidly for no doubt. Previously we have seen treats like Magadheera and Bahubali series which gave a new standard and a ray of hope to Indian cinema lovers. Time by time Tollywood is harvesting the good piece of art and trying to touch the international standard. Yeh, that’s for sure Indian cinema is a pure form of ‘Heroism’ and south cinema is affected more by this syndrome. But now things are getting good shape. Recently we have also seen some good crafty work from Bollywood too where ‘Art’ is overtaking so-called ‘Heroism’. And the yet another hope is in front of us in the form of K.G.F, a Kannada movie.
So what is K.G.F?
K.F.G is an upcoming Kannada movie, directed and written by Prashanth Neel. Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, and Achyuth Kumar are in lead role.
K.F.G means ‘Kolar Gold Fields’. Trailer looks like it is a movie on Gold mining based story of workers. And wow the trailer looking ‘super se bhi upar’ type, you could feel your Goosebumps while watching the trailer. Yes, the typical south action heroism is still alive, but this time it looks more furnished and acceptable. Background score is ‘gajab’ and the set gives feel like Hollywood movie ‘The Mad Max’. And the good thing is this movie has various parts as the trailer reveals that this is chapter 1 of the story. This is something we have seen in past that which movie is fully written before the release rocks the cinema halls. Like ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ and ‘Bahubali’. This happens in Hollywood actually where they focus on story and then work on other things. But in Bollywood, Indian cinema makers search second part after the success of the first one, which is not so relevant and most of the sequels become ‘raayata with no salt’. Releasing on 21 December 2018 in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
Overall the movie has set the expectations to another level and my figures are crossed for a good full movie. So I think on December 21 we are going to feel good craftwork by our filmmakers.
